Job Summary
Job Overview: The Meat Cutter provides assistance to customers while performing key tasks that keep the meat department running smoothly.
A successful Meat Cutter is friendly to his/her fellow employees and customers, stays busy maintaining and improving the meat department, and provides assistance to customers and staff.
The Meat Cutter is key to the company because he/she is face to face with customers and plays a key role in the customer’s experience.
The Meat Cutter performs duties that are critical to daily operations of the meat department and overall efficiency.

Responsible to provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person about how sales are proceeding.

Support departmental goals of safety, quality and cost reduction.
Responsible for assisting customers during their time in our store in a way that makes them feel comfortable and makes them want to return.
Responsible for preparing meat in a safe and sanitary way that will make our customers want to return to our store.
Responsible for keeping the meat department, coolers, and freezers safe, organized, and clean.
Responsible for stocking all of the supplies that are used in the meat department.
Responsible for taking trash out to the dumpsters.
Responsible for being conscientious of profitability in all aspects of their job.
