*Job Description*
This position will maintain a positive and upbeat customer service environment while monitoring alarm signals.
This includes interpreting and responding to alarm activations and dispatching police, fire and medical authorities as necessary.
The position also answers and assesses incoming phone calls and provides information to the public and/or customers.
*Responsibilities:*
* Monitors alarm signals.
* Interprets and responds to alarm activations by dispatching police, fire, and medical authorities when necessary; notifies responsible parties of activations.
* Notifies customers or dealers of trouble, or other non-emergency signals that can include power failure, low battery, communication failure, temperature notifications, and any other signals that might indicate a problem or concern.
* Answers and assesses incoming telephone calls, transfers calls to the appropriate party/parties, and provides information to the public or customers.
* Records all necessary information on accounts pertaining to calls and/or alarms received (i.
e.
from premises, authorities, responding parties, etc.
).
* Communicates clearly and calmly provides all necessary information to customers, technicians, service department, dealers, authorities, and responding parties.
* Provides technical assistance to customers and contacts appropriate technical support if the issue is beyond your abilities.
* Handles incoming faxes and assists with other administrative tasks and/or paperwork as needed, and shift work as required.
* Assists in the upkeep and appearance of the Central Station.
* Works on special projects as assigned.
_*This is a 24/7/365 monitoring station.
All candidates must have the ability to work weekends, holidays and any shift as needed.
This shift is specifically for day-mid shifts.

Basic computer and phone skills
High School Diploma or equivalent
