Convenience Store Cashier

Job Overview: The cashier provides assistance to customers while performing key tasks that keep the store running smoothly.
A successful cashier is friendly to his/her fellow employees and customers, stays busy maintaining and improving the store, and provides assistance to customers and staff.
The cashier is key to the company because he/she is face to face with customers and plays a key role in the customer's experience.
The store clerk performs duties that are critical to daily operations of the store and overall efficiency.

Responsible for assisting customers during their time in our store in a way that makes them feel comfortable and makes them want to return.
Responsible for charging customers for their purchases and giving back the correct amount of change.
Responsible for preventing theft inside the store and at the gas pumps.
Responsible for serving food to the customers.
Responsible for keeping all areas of the store presentable and functioning at all times.
Required to perform many janitorial duties that include and are not limited to cleaning the floors, cleaning the entire store, taking trash to the dumpster , and cleaning the parking lot and gas pump area.
Responsible for monitoring and maintaining the gas pumps.
Responsible for organizing and cleaning coolers and freezers.
Responsible for providing customers with a safe and sanitary environment.
Responsible for keeping the fountain drink syrup in the fountain drink machines.
Responsible for stocking product on the shelves.
Responsible for checking identification and properly selling alcohol and tobacco products.
Responsible for being conscientious of profitability in all aspects of their job.
