Work Designation.
Depending on your location within the continental US, this role may be hybrid or remote.
If you live within 50 miles of the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA this role will be hybrid.
This means you will be expected to work in the office for at least 60% of the work week.
You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week.
Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership.
If you live more than 50 miles from the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA, this role will be remote.
This means you will be expected to work from your home, within the continental US.
If the role is remote, there may be occasions that you are requested to come to the office based on business need.
Any requests to come to the office would be communicated with you in advance.

Education & Experience Required Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing or other related field 10 years of professional job related work experience, 5 years management experience 7 years of professional experience in business development 3 years of experience working in one of Aflac’s HQ sales support and service areas: training, recruiting, broker, and field forcer sales.
Demonstrated record of accomplishment of overseeing positive business development that drives organizational revenue and growth.
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience Travel Less than or equal to 75% Principal Duties & Responsibilities Conducts on-going market analysis to understand key challenges facing small businesses; leverages competitive intelligence to identify competitor small business strategies and opportunities.
Identifies organizations that can serve as “points of entry” to small business; seeks opportunities to create partnerships with point of entry organizations.
Drives the development, planning, and implementation of strategic sales in the small business space by leveraging the brand, building and maintaining strategic relationship.
Responsible for evolving and scaling all markets and key support areas by utilizing the Aflac sales force, leveraging existing relationships and enhancing knowledge of the small business market.
Develops and implements sales strategies to support the field in the acquisition of new accounts through developed relationship; achieves targeted sales volume and maximizes market potential; services accounts; designs and executes marketing and sales strategies, policies, and programs for Aflac products and services, in conjunction with management; strives to maintain and consistently enhance Aflac’s competitive position in the marketplace.
Develops and implements strategies relating to client retention, renewal sales and quality service; builds proposals and product bundles for serviced clients; assists with the strategic planning for client renewal and retention strategies for assigned clients; maintains productive working relationships, and expands sales with existing clients by developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve membership growth Assists with the execution of long- and short-term field sales strategy to maximize sales with optimum return on investment.
Maintains an expert’s knowledge-level over a complete line of products/services and clients’ issues and needs; uses professional skills and concepts to solve a variety of clients’ problems; directly manages business relationships for assigned clients.
Develops a holistic small business solutions Strategy in partnership with key internal business partners to include: Product, Enrollment, Operations, Sales Enablement, Marketing, Broker Solutions, Value Added Services, Digital Services and others.
Partners with key constituents to strengthen organizational knowledge of the small business environment and the solutions Aflac offers.
Represents Aflac to clients and partners, and industry events; strengthens Aflac’s industry role as a thought leader in the small business space.
Outlines customer journey for small businesses from the perspective of owners/HR professionals and producers.
Partners with Sales Enablement team to develop technology necessary to increase effectiveness at point of sale.
Designs and influences sales management to adopt business acquisition and sales growth strategies.
Works with department leaders to oversee business development reports and track progress.
Total Rewards This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity.
The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting.
Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case.
This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate.
The salary range for this position is $200,000.
