Position Summary
NOTE: CHATTAHOOCHEE VALLEY COMMUNITY COLLEGE OBSERVES EASTERN TIME.
This is a non-renewable grant-funded position.
Continued employment is contingent upon funding from the grant.
In accordance with the provisions of the Students First Act, ACT 2011-270, non-probationary status is not attainable by virtue of employment in this position, the funding and duration of which are finite.
This non-supervisory, non-exempt position under the general direction of the Director of Health Sciences is responsible for scheduling all program clinical activities, maintaining required documents for student/faculty clinical experiences, and preparing and maintaining program lab areas.
Health Sciences faculty work closely with Health Sciences Clinical Coordinator to plan and coordinate clinical/lab activities.
Salary: Appropriate placement on Salary Schedule E3 04: ($41,122-$56,128).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: 1.
Coordinate and schedule clinical and lab opportunities with clinical partners across all clinical areas.
Collaborate with course coordinators to develop schedules aligned with course learning outcomes.

Support course coordinators in creating the clinical/lab schedule.
3.
Facilitate skills practice sessions for Instructors.
4.
Manage supplies, maintenance, and skills lab requirements in coordination with course supervisors.
5.
Oversee inventory, setup, and cleanup for skills lab sessions.
6.
Contribute to budget planning for skills lab needs.
7.
Prepare and organize simulation lab sessions, ensuring proper cleanup afterward.
8.
Assist with simulation sessions as directed by course coordinators.
9.
Attend local meetings with clinical partners to stay updated on clinical placement policies and procedures.
10.
Engage in continuous improvement initiatives, including optimizing processes, implementing training programs, and integrating technology enhancements.

Qualifications Associate Degree, from a regionally accredited institution, in Nursing or a related field.
Two (2) or more years of experience in clinical coordination or a related healthcare field.
Active, unencumbered Alabama Registered Nurse or compact state license that includes Alabama or licensure in another related healthcare field.
Self-directed with strong organizational skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and work ethic.
Effective oral and written communication skills; proficiency in the English language.
PREFERRED: Bachelor of Science-Nursing or related health field, from a regionally accredited institution.
Two (2) or more years of experience in clinical coordination or a related healthcare field.
Active, unencumbered Alabama Registered Nurse License or a compact state license that includes Alabama or licensure in another related healthcare field.
Self-directed with strong organizational skills.
