Economic Development Director
Harris County, Georgia, population 36,000 and located in west central Georgia along the Alabama border 60 minutes southwest of Atlanta, 30 minutes north of Columbus, and home to Callaway Resort and Gardens and FDR State Park, is accepting applications for a full-time Economic Development Director.
This exempt position assumes a vital role in project development, research, analysis, content management, and recruitment and retention initiatives related to business development.
The Economic Development Director is responsible for formulating and executing strategic plans aimed at attracting, developing, retaining, and fostering the growth of the County's commercial business community.
Minimum qualifications include bachelor's degree, possession of a valid driver's licenses, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the work.
Must be a self-motivated self-starter and able to work independently.
The starting rate of pay is $65,000 to $75,000 DOQ plus generous benefits including a five-year vesting schedule for retirement.
