Summary: The Greeter welcomes and assists patients, their families and visitors entering the hospital.
Employees working in this capacity answer questions, provide information and direct people to the hospital location they need, thus creating an atmosphere in the hospital that is caring, yet efficient.
To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must possess the ability to communicate courteously and effectively with patients, families, visitors, and staff, while maintaining strict confidentiality of patient information.
Proactively greets and assists all patients, visitors, and vendors in a warm and welcoming manner ensuring exceptional customer service.
Maintain awareness and oversight for activity in the main lobby.
Conducts approved screening process with all and uses technology to print out personalized visitor labels and ensures all coming into the hospital have the appropriate badge.
Ascertains patients’ and or visitors’ needs and directs them accordingly.
Acts as a liaison between patients, visitors, and guests and any hospital department
Aids patients and visitors by obtaining wheelchairs, or other services as needed.
Escorts or transports patients who need help to their destination within the hospital.
Contact Security, Environmental Services, or Facilities, for assistance when necessary.
Monitors the overall appearance of the hospital entrance.
Performs related duties as required.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent, or associate’s degree preferred.
Experience: One year of customer service experience
