*This is an essential position to Columbus Airport.
* We are seeking a reliable and competent individual with a positive attitude and proven experience cleaning to join our dynamic team as a Hospitality Team Member at the Columbus Airport in Columbus, Georgia.
As a Hospitality Team Member, you will play an essential role in the visual appearance of the Columbus Airport’s facilities by maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of airport terminal and common areas including stairways, escalators, elevators, supply rooms, break rooms, administration/TSA/FAA offices, furnishings, and rest rooms as well as building entrances, employee, short/long term parking lots, pet relief areas and exterior walkways.
*OVERVIEW:* Under the direction of the Hospitality Supervisor, the Hospitality Team Member works under a firm schedule determined by the daily commercial airline flight schedule and will be assigned duties based on a zone schedule using a daily checklist.
Hospitality Team Members are required to work as part of a team or with no direction for early morning and late evening schedules.
This role requires sound knowledge of cleaning procedures, cleaning chemicals, cleaning equipment and safety standards, along with strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities and exceptional customer service skills.
This position is full-time and includes weekends and holidays.
*KEY RESPONSIBILITES:* 1.
*Cleaning & Sanitation:* Performs general cleaning and janitorial duties in the common areas of the terminal, parking lots and other areas as assigned.

*Event Coordination:* Assist in the set-up and breakdown of meetings, training courses, conferences, community events held at the airport (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.
) and marketing events held at the airport.
3.
*Customer Engagement:* Engage with customers and provide wayfinding assistance.
4.
*Continuous Learning:* Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices.
Share insights and recommendations with the team to drive improvement.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES: * · Daily sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors in terminal to include gate, Admin, FAA, etc.
· Clean restrooms and lavatories including sinks, toilets, urinals, and showers.
· Launder and store cleaning towels and cloths.
· Dust and clean furniture, desks and office furniture.
· Clean escalator rails, sweep elevators and wipe down buttons.
· Clean and wash windows, mirrors, and other glass.
· Re-stock hand sanitizer, soap, paper products and sanitary products in restrooms.
· Empty and clean garbage containers in the terminal and pay parking lots.
· Sweep and/or remove litter and debris from sidewalks, public areas and parking lots.
· Disinfect water fountains, sinks, and all stainless steel.
· Will work with chemicals, solvents, corrosives, and abrasives.
· Will be exposed to dust, dirt, and fumes.
· Will be occasionally exposed to severe or inclement weather.
· Clean and stock indoor and outdoor pet relief areas.
· Clean administration breakroom to include, refrigerator, microwave, counters, floors, etc.
*QUALIFICATIONS:* · High School Diploma or GED.
Available 40 hours per week, evenings, weekends & holidays.
· Certification in one or more trades.
· Proven experience minimum one year of related experience in industrial, institutional, or hotel housekeeping duties.
· Self-motivated, organized and detail oriented.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
· Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to take on new challenges as needed.
· Excellent problem-solving skills · Ability to understand and carry out verbal & written instructions.
· Knowledge of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and safety procedures.
· Capability to operate standard office equipment, including computers, printers, and telephones.
*PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: * · Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
· Capacity to lift and carry objects weighing up to (10) ten to (25) twenty-five pounds.
· Aptitude for grasping, bending, lifting, reaching, crouching, walking, stooping, kneeling and carrying repetitively for extended periods of time.
· Auditory ability to communicate effectively over the phone, walkie talkie and in person.
· Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, or overtime as needed.
