Job Summary
Columbus State University has openings for Program Aides in their award winning Activ8 Summer Camp program.
Program Aides provide instructional and operational support for Activ8 Instructors.
Activ8 camps are designed to be fun and facilitate hands-on learning for students ages 4-14 without the pressure of homework, tests, or quizzes.
Camps cover a variety of subjects including: performing and visual arts, math, writing, science, sports and outdoors, theater and stage play, fashion, etiquette, gardening, and photography.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities and expectations for this position include, but are not limited to:
Providing supervision and ensuring safety and accountability for up to 10 campers age 4-14.
Assisting the instructor with lessons and activities.
Assisting with camp activities and being actively engaged with campers at all times.
Assisting with attendance and sign-in/sign-out procedures.
Required Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
Selected candidates should have:
Experience with children ages 4-14
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
Excellent oral communication skills
Positive outlook and willing to work as a member of the team
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with experience working with children and/or youth programs.
Proposed Salary
This is a temporary position at an hourly rate of $10.
00 and does not include benefits.

Conditions of Employment
Candidates must have availability to attend an orientation (TBD).
Candidates should be available most weekdays from 7:30 am - 5:30 pm.
Some candidatesmay be asked to work a flexible schedule to provide supervision in the Before Care (7:00 am to 8:00 am) and After Care (5:00 pm to 6:00 pm) program.
